Everton striker Wayne was allegedly caught driving another girl’s car while Coleen was away on holiday last week.
He was charged with drink driving in the early hours of Friday morning near his home in Prestbury.
Several reports have speculated that Coleen may consider divorcing her husband although neither her nor her husband have commented on the reports.
Nolan wrote in her advice column: “Oh love, my heart ached for you yesterday.
“Back from holiday, piles of washing to sort, school uniforms to get ready, four months pregnant and there’s your husband’s face smeared across every front page for disappearing into the night with some old slapper.’
“You deserve better than this.
“You really do.
“You’ve done nothing but support Wayne since the beginning of his football career.
“You’ve created a lovely home, provided him with three smashing kids (and another on the way), and welcomed him into your loving family.
“And time and time again he’s gone out, betrayed your trust and humiliated you.
“It’s just wrong.
“But, and it’s a big but…
“I understand why you won’t want to leave him.
“And it is certainly not the time to be thinking of doing anything of the sort right now.
“Whenever anyone asks me for advice, my first tip is never, ever, make life-changing decisions when emotions are high.
“Right now I can understand how furious you must be at what he’s done.
“But I’m sure you have the sense to see whatever you do next shouldn’t be a knee-jerk response to feeling furious or hurt – it should be a well-thought-out plan about what’s best for you and your four children for the rest of your lives.”
Nolan said that when her first husband cheated on her, the details of the affair being played out in the press was a ‘world of pain.’
“I had so-called experts in papers and magazines telling me to “show some self-respect” and walk away, or wondering whether I’d preferred to stay with him so I could keep a big house in the country,” she said.
“They didn’t have a clue.
“What I didn’t want to do – then or ever – was face the fact the man I loved now seemed to prefer some pretty young dancer.
“I didn’t want my marriage to be over, and I certainly didn’t want to tell my boys that the dad they adored wouldn’t be living with us any more.
“Unless you have had to face that situation, you really haven’t got a clue what you are talking about.”
Nolan split from her husband, but said that the fate of the Rooney’s marriage was something only they could decide.
She also said that people outside their marriage would be hard pressed to understand the ‘constant stream of young women who flaunt themselves’ in front of the former England striker – who moved from Manchester Utd to Everton this summer – and the ‘level of temptation’ he must face.
“Every case is different and whatever you decide, Coleen, only you and Wayne will really understand it,” she wrote.
“There will be plenty of folk who say you are only staying for the luxury lifestyle, and those who say cheating is just part of the package of having a footballer husband.
“They don’t know how much you love your husband.
“Or how much he loves you.
“Yes, obviously you should be able to trust your husband enough to have a week away with the kids.
“But maybe you can’t.
“Is that reason enough to call time on your marriage?
“Or maybe it is just a reason to never leave him home alone again.
“Only you can work that out, Coleen.
“I hope and pray you do.”
We wish Coleen well in this trying times… and Wayne should keep it together!!
